Individual scientific and pedagogical indicators
He graduated from the Law Faculty of Odessa State (now National) University named after I. I. Mechnikov (1973). Graduate student of the Kharkov Law Institute (1976-1980), candidate of law (1981), associate professor (1985). Doctoral student of the National Law Academy named after Yaroslav the Wise (1989-1992), Doctor of Law (1992), Professor (1995). Doctoral student of the Ukrainian Theological Academy (2007-2009), Doctor of Theology (2010). Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine [1] .
He is the author of 300 scientific papers on general and sectoral problems of law , including 9 monographs (five personal and four collective), 15 different lecture courses and study guides, some of which were published abroad. His book "Economic Crimes: Domestic and International Aspects", foreword by prof. Jessa Meghhen (USA), recognized as the laureate of the 3rd All-Ukrainian competition for the best legal publication for “relevance and quality of research”, and the book “Household crimes” is in the library of the US Congress . According to the results of the rating survey, five times was among the authors with the best publications in national publications [2] .
Under his leadership, 29 master's theses were defended.
Scientific and organizational indicators
The creator and head of the scientific school "Basic Institutions and Trends in the Development of Criminal Law" [3] , [4] .
The executive editor and co-author of eight editions of the textbook on the Criminal Law of Ukraine, which has the corresponding stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and for “high scientific and practical value in the educational process”, was recognized as the laureate of the 5th All-Ukrainian competition for the best legal publication.
Executive editor and co-author of nine editions of scientific and practical commentary on the Criminal Code of Ukraine .
Responsible co-editor and co-author of two scientific and practical comments on the Law of Ukraine "On the principles of preventing and combating corruption . " Responsible editor and co-author of scientific comments on the Laws of Ukraine: “On advocacy and advocacy” , “On the police” , etc.
He is a co-author of a number of other textbooks, teaching aids, and commentaries on legislation.
Scientific editor of the journal “Bulletin of the Southern Scientific Center of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine” , a member of the editorial boards of three more Ukrainian and one foreign journals [5] .

International scientific competitions and internships
Winner of the three most prestigious international scientific competitions:
- a) Fulbright contest in the USA (1998/1999) [6] ,
- b) DAAD (German Office for Academic Exchanges) - (2001),
- c) the Max Planck Scientific Partnership in the Federal Republic of Germany (three times in 2005, 2009, 2013) [7] .
He completed a scientific internship at the Office of International Criminal Justice (USA), the Institute of Constitutional and Legislative Policy (Hungary), at the Institute of State and Law named after Koretsky (Ukraine), at the Institute of International and Foreign Criminal Law (Germany), etc. [8] .
He was invited to lecture at universities in Canada, the USA, and Germany. Has publications in foreign scientific journals.
Foreign professors wrote to his three books of introduction: “Economic Crimes in Ukraine”, Bahva, 1997 ”- Dean, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, Professor, Doctor of Law. He is recognized by the International Biographical Center of Cambridge (Great Britain) and the American Biographical Institute [9] .
State recognition of merit
- Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2002).
- Full holder of the Order of Merit (2014, 2009, 2006), the insignia of the President of Ukraine - the anniversary medal “Twenty Years of Independence of Ukraine” (2012), the medal “Defender of the Fatherland” (1999), was awarded six more state awards [10] .
