Khamzat Zharapovich Khankarov ( Khonkarov ) (April 13, 1965, Grozny , Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , RSFSR , USSR - June 13, 1994, Grozny , Chechnya , Russia ) - Chechen field commander , member of the movement for the separation of Chechnya from Russia in the 1990s. According to some reports [1] , he commanded the Chechen detachment of the Confederation of Peoples of the Caucasus during the war in Abkhazia .

Biography
Born in the city of Grozny ; a native of teip Komalkhoy, tukhum Malkhi. Since 1990, he actively participated in various separatist organizations, in 1991, together with like-minded people, captured the building of the Grozny city committee and television center. After the transfer of power to the National Congress of the Chechen people, he was a member of its Presidium in both convocations, as well as a member of the Presidium of the Confederation of Peoples of the Caucasus .
He participated in the war in Abkhazia - he commanded one of the units of the Confederation of the Peoples of the Caucasus [2] , together with Shamil Basayev he was the organizer of the offensive under Gagra . In 1993, he served as military commander of Chechnya [3] .
Together with the Chechen bard, Imam Alimsultanov, he performed songs of his own composition.
He died on June 13, 1994 in a clash with a detachment of Ruslan Labazanov .
