Story
The film takes place in late 1922 - early 1923 in revolutionary Mongolia . The leader of the robber’s army, Ja-lama , having settled in his Gobi fortress, robs caravans, drives prisoners into slavery and nurtures plans to overthrow the pro-communist People’s government, supported by Japanese and American agents. Japan supplies the Ja-Lama with arms to organize a coup in Urga and establish a pro-capitalist government. Having learned about the danger, Suhe-Bator sends his agents to the enemy camp, Baldandorzh and Dugarzhava , who, under the guise of representatives of the forces sympathizing with the Ja-Lama in the capital, enter into confidence in him. As a result of a special operation, Ja-lama is shot dead, and numerous prisoners of his fortress are released.
