Biography
Born on April 25, 1936 in the settlement of Ust-Chaun, Chaunsky District, Chukotka Autonomous Region, Magadan Region, in a peasant family.
He graduated from high school in 1954 . From the same year he began military service in the navy.
In 1958 he graduated from the Higher Naval School of scuba diving . He served in the Pacific Fleet . Since 1973 - commander of nuclear submarines " K-14 ", and then " K-171 ".
In 1976, as part of a group of submarines, he made an 80-day voyage from the North to the Pacific Fleet across the Atlantic Ocean , the Drake Strait , and then the Pacific Ocean , led by Rear Admiral V. K. Korobov . The hike was successfully completed, the task was performed as “excellent”. After completing the transition, both submarines entered the Pacific Fleet.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on May 25, 1976 .
In 1979 he graduated from the academic courses at the Naval Academy.
In 1979, he was appointed Head of the Faculty of the VVMURE A.S.Popova . In 1989, in the rank of captain of the first rank, he was transferred to the reserve.
After his dismissal from the service, he was the manager of the administration of the municipal council of the municipality of the municipal district No. 71 of the Frunzensky District of St. Petersburg .
He died on October 15, 2008 . He was buried in St. Petersburg , on the Alley of Heroes of Theological Cemetery.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin , "For Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" 3rd degree , medals, including the medal of the Order "For Services to the Fatherland" 2nd degree .
