The village settlement "Medvedevo" is a municipality within the Rzhevsky District of the Tver Region . There are 38 settlements on the territory of the settlement. The center of the settlement is the village of Medvedevo . It was founded in 2005 and included the territories of Pyatnitsky, Medvedevsky, Kuryanovsky and Osugsky rural districts.

History
With the formation in 1796 of the Tver province, the territory of the settlement was included in 2 counties: the southeastern part - in Zubtsovsky district , the north-western part in Rzhevsky district . The southwestern corner of the settlement (Gornia, Krasnoe) belonged to the Belsky district of Smolensk province . After the liquidation of the provinces in 1929, the territory of the settlement entered the Rzhevsky district of the Western region . Since 1935, the territory of the settlement is included in the Rzhevsky district of the Kalinin region (since 1990 - the Tver region ) [2] .
Famous People
Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Ilyich Rumyantsev was born in the village of Kulnevo .
In the village of Zinaidovo , the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Konstantinovich Konstantinov was born.
