Oracept

Orasept - a medicinal spray for sore throat, oral antiseptic . Registered in Ukraine [1] .

Content

Composition

Active ingredient: 1.4% phenol solution (14 mg / ml). Inactive ingredients: glycerin , sodium saccharin, flavoring, purified water, dye.

Indications

Oracept is used:

  • in otorhinolaryngology in the treatment of inflammatory processes in the pharynx ( tonsillitis , pharyngitis );
  • in dentistry : in the treatment of microbial and viral stomatitis ;

with gingivitis , periodontitis, burns and mechanical damage to the oral mucosa during dental procedures.

Dosage and administration

Spray directly on the inflamed area 3-5 times.

After spraying, the drug can be swallowed. Repeat every 2-4 hours. Features of the application.

It should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation .

Preservation of the symptoms of the disease for 5 days or more may indicate the presence of an organic pathology ( abscess , neoplasm, etc.), which needs surgical or other special treatment methods.

Side Effects

The concentration of phenol in the drug is recognized as safe, in terms of toxicity or oncogenicity. Orasept does not produce damaging effects on tooth enamel .

Contraindicated

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug. Significant impaired liver and kidney function.

Interaction with other drugs

There are no data on the effect of the drug on the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of other drugs.

Overdose

Not described. In case of an overdose, symptomatic treatment is recommended ( gastric lavage , if necessary - hospitalization in the toxicological department).
