Russian Party - Russian nationalist party, founded on May 17, 1991 by Victor Korchagin. The original name is "The Russian Party of the RSFSR." By the spring of 1992, there were over 5 thousand members. In 1992, after an internal party conflict, Vladimir Miloserdov became the party’s leader [1] , although the split lasted until 1996 , when Korchagin dissolved his faction [2] . When the party in 1993, a paramilitary unit "Russian Guard" was created, which participated in the defense of the House of Soviets. In 1996, the Russian Party supported Zyuganov’s candidacy during the presidential election [3] . The most active regional organizations of the Russian Party were the St. Petersburg (leader N.N. Bondarik) and the Oryol branches (leader I.L. Semenov ).
Ideology
He advocates the accession to Russia of adjacent territories populated by the Russian-speaking population (Northern Kazakhstan, Donbass, Latgale, Crimea). At the same time, Korchagin supported the independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria , subject to mutual exchange of population. The party supported market reforms while maintaining the public sector of the economy and proposed the introduction of a state of emergency in order to achieve statutory goals.
Illegal activity
The party published anti-Semitic newspapers (Russkiye Vedomosti, Rusich), and also criticized Christianity and showed sympathy for Slavic paganism [4] .
