In 1899-1909 he was the director, and in 1931-33 - the director of the Royal Theater . In 1912-1924 - Director of the Hapodnaya Theater in Copenhagen. In 1880 he made his debut in the psychological drama "Children of Lindou." In his writings, Christiansen focused on the psychological theater of H. Ibsen. Christiansen's dramas went to the Royal Theater:
