West Surgut - an oil field in Russia . Located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area . Opened in 1963 , full operation started in 1965 . The total geological reserves of oil amount to more than 500 million tons. Initial recoverable oil reserves amount to 215 million tons.
The field belongs to the West Siberian province .
The operator of the field is the Russian oil company Surgutneftegas .
