Biography
Career start
- He studied at the Warsaw Junker Infantry School , then graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff .
- In 1900 he was appointed chief of staff of the 6th cavalry division, and in 1910 he was appointed chief of staff of the 10th infantry division.
- Since 1904, commander of the 3rd Rifle Regiment. He participated in the Russo-Japanese War , after the war he was appointed commander of the 1st Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division.
World War I
- Since December 1906, the quartermaster general of the headquarters of the Moscow Military District. In 1910 he was transferred to the post of chief of staff of the IX Army Corps .
- After the outbreak of World War I, he was appointed on August 19, 1914 to temporarily correct the position of head of the 9th Infantry Division.
