Logan Allen Pos ( born Logan Allen Pause ; August 22, 1981 , Hillsboro, North Carolina , USA ) - American footballer who played as a leading midfielder , coach. He spent his 12-year professional career playing for the Chicago Fire MLS club. From December 1, 2014 - Vice President of the Chicago Fire Club.

Career

Junior

After graduating from school in Durham (North Carolina), where Logan was the captain of the local team and was recognized as a player of the district, district and conference of the year, he played football for the team of the University of North Carolina "Tar Hills", where he was the captain alternately with Matt Crawford . First, he acted as a midfielder, then became a central defender, and often connected in the center to the attacks. In 2001, he won the College Cup with the team and entered the second symbolic team of the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the next season he entered the first team.

In clubs

In 2002, after the end of the student season, he briefly competed in the US Cup and the USL Fourth Division for the newly created Role of KASL Elite.

In 2003, he was selected on the MLS Superdraft under the general 24th number by the Chicago Fire Club. In the first season, he and the club won the regular championship and reached the final of the playoffs, and also won the US Cup. The following season I reached the Cup final, played all the matches of my team, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup semi-finals, also having spent all the matches.

In the 2005 season, he was transferred from the center of the midfield to the right flank of the defense. Due to injury, he missed the play-offs of the 2006 season, in which he played on both flanks of the defense and on the right flank of the midfield. In the first match of the 2007 season against the New England Revolution , he scored his first goal in the MLS, which became the only one in that match. From the 2008 season he played in the center of defense, was the captain of the club, as one of his oldest players.

August 12, 2012 Logan took part in the 250th match of the regular season for the "Chicago Fire". He became only the fifth player of the MLS league who played 250 or more matches for the same club [2] .

At the end of the 2014 MLS season , Logan Pos ended his football career. Logan spent his entire professional 12-year career speaking for Chicago Fire [3] [4] [5] .

On November 3, 2014, Pos was appointed vice president of the Chicago Fire Club [6] .

In national teams

In 2004, he participated in the qualifying tournament for the Summer Olympics, which was unsuccessful for the United States. June 25, 2009, he was first included in the first US team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup [7] . He made his debut at the international level in the first match of this tournament against Grenada , in which he spent 90 minutes on the field and scored an assist with Robbie Rogers . After 5 of 6 games of his team, won the "silver".
