History
- March 30, 1835 - Formed from the cantonists in Yaroslavl to replace the disbanded regiment of the same name as the 3rd training carabinier regiment.
- November 18, 1855 - Renamed the 3rd Training Infantry Regiment.
- December 6, 1856 - The 1st Grenadier Rifle Battalion consisting of 4 companies was formed from the 1st battalion of the regiment.
- December 30, 1863 - 1st Grenadier Rifle Duke George Mecklenburg-Strelitzky Battalion.
- August 31, 1870 - 1st Rifle Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz Battalion.
- July 15, 1876 - 1st Rifle Battalion.
- December 31, 1888 - The battalion was reorganized into the 1st rifle regiment of a double-battalion.
