2004 World Ice Hockey Championship

The 24th World Ice Hockey Championship was held in Sweden from February 1 to 8 in 2004 in Group A. In group B, the games were held in Hungary from February 25 to 28, 2004. The competition took a record number of teams - 11. For the first time in history, the Finnish national team became the World Champion.
