Story
Jerry terrorizes Mom-Two Slippers by shaking the stool on which she stands. Mom calls for help to Tom, who rushes for Jerry in an instant, but cannot catch him. Meanwhile, Jerry chopped an ax with a stool with Mommy-Two Slippers. Tom runs up to him, and Jerry hands the cat an ax. Tom tries to chop Jerry, but the mouse dodges the blows, and Tom destroys the legs of the stool with an ax, but catches its upper part with Mom standing, he falls into the basement with her. Mom tells Tom the tirade that he is too old to catch mice and wants to have a new cat. Mom is calling Lightning. He runs into place with lightning speed, catches Jerry, and drives him out into the street. Lightning "phase" runs up to Mommy-Two Slippers and kisses her hand. Mom is pleased with the grace and manners of the new cat.
Jerry tries to get back into the house through the mail hole, but Lightning throws him out again. Mom goes to bed, and Lightning at this time grabs the refrigerator and eats everything that comes into his hands. Mom is going to check what kind of noise it is, Lightning blamed Tom. Mom sees Tom with food in her hands and wants to kick him out, but Lightning himself kicked Tom out.
Tom and Jerry on the street, sourly thinking, what are they to do. Here Jerry comes up with a plan and whispers it in Tom's ear. Soon, the cat and mouse put the plan into action, quietly entering the house. Tom and Jerry stand on either end of the sleeping Lightning, and Tom, using a magnet, forces Lightning to swallow the iron . Lightning chases, but Tom and Jerry mock him, substituting a magnet under a swallowed iron. As a result of the bullying, Lightning breaks the piano, crashes into the wall and smashes a shelf with plates, and they fall on it. Mommy comes into the room and here Jerry again terrorizes her. Frightened Mom jumps on the stool and calls Lightning. But then Tom stands behind the wall and holds Lightning with a magnet. Helpless Mom calls Tom for help. Tom leaves a magnet on the wall and rushes to the rescue. Tom allegedly catches Jerry and takes him outside. Mommy hears the sounds of a fight there, although in fact Tom and Jerry are banging planks on a metal basin .
Mom wants to throw Lightning herself, but then Tom himself decides to drive him away. Tom gives Lightning a foot in the butt, but forgetting about the iron inside Lightning, breaks his leg, and subsequently Mom takes care of him. She gives her mouse trap a reward as a pie , and Tom shares it with Jerry.
Facts
- The plot is half borrowed from The Lonesome Mouse series: Tom is thrown out into the street, he and Jerry come up with a plan, supposedly kicks Jerry out of the house and receives a cake as a reward, fortunately, now he shares it with Jerry.
- This is also one of the episodes where Tom and Jerry both win.
- The fake street fight trick is also borrowed from The Lonesome Mouse .
- In some TV shows, Mommy’s phrase “Take care of old Uncle Tom” (a negro character in the novel “ Uncle Tom’s Cabin ”) was replaced by the phrase “Take Care of Old Tom.” Mom’s tirade was also censored and rewritten, in the original it was: “If you are a mousetrap, then I am a Chinese ”, in the re-voiced version “If you are a mousetrap, then I am Lana Turner .”
- In the scene where Tom and Jerry imitate a fight, an overture to the opera "William Tell" sounds.
