Ali al-Nasir (Abu-l-Hassan Ali ibn Hammoud al-Nasir lidini-l-lah, Arab. الناصر علي بن حمود , died in 1018 ) - Khalif of Cordoba (1016-1018), representative of the Hammudid dynasty, whose representatives believed that their race comes from the Prophet Muhammad .

Biography
Ali al-Nasir in 1013 was appointed by the caliph Suleiman emir of Ceuta . After some time, taking advantage of the caliphate anarchy , he captured neighboring Tangier , then invaded the Iberian Peninsula , where he occupied Algeciras , Malaga , after which he moved the army to Cordoba and took it on July 1, 1016. He first imprisoned Khalifa Suleiman, then beheaded. Becoming the new caliph, Ali al-Nasir at first enjoyed the support of the population, but then his popularity fell sharply and on March 22, 1018 he was killed by supporters of Abd al-Rahman IV , who captured Cordoba.
