Biography
She was born on April 6 (March 25 according to the old style) in 1894 in the village of Buldychev (now the Romanovsky district of the Zhytomyr region).
From 1934 to 1959 she worked as a link collective farm "Ukraine" of the Dzerzhinsky district of the Zhytomyr region. Known for high sugar beet yields. Until 1941, yields in the Marzun Maria link were on average (from 1 ha): sugar beets - up to 500 centners, millet - 48 centners, barley - 33 centners, potatoes - 300 centners.
Since 1960 - retired.
Member of the CPSU since 1949. The delegate of the XVII — XIXth congresses of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
She died on July 20, 1970 in the same place where she was born. [one]
Rewards

- 11/03/1953 - for high yields of sugar beets,
- 02/26/1958 - for successes in the development of agriculture.
- She was awarded 3 orders of Lenin, medals, 4 large gold and 4 bronze medals of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition .
- Honorary link collective farm "Ukraine".
Memory
There is a Museum of the grain dynasty named after M. A. Martsun. It was created in 1979 to commemorate and perpetuate the labor merits of the grain-farming dynasty of the twice Hero of Socialist Labor - Maria Martsun and her followers. The museum is located in the center of the village near the club. He was awarded the title of "people." The museum has 4 exposition sections, where there are about 130 exhibits. [2]
A bronze bust is installed in her homeland. [3]
