Carter Rycroft ( Eng. Carter Rycroft ; August 29, 1977 , Grand Prairie , Alberta ) is a Canadian curling player playing second position, silver medalist at the 2002 Olympic Games, 2010 World Champion .

Sports career
In youth teams, Carter Rycroft was a skip player. Together with his team, he became the silver medalist of the 1998 Canadian Junior Curling Championship , where he was spotted by the famous Canadian curling player Kevin Martin . Starting in the 1999 season , Carter began to play for Martin’s team in second place. For 6 years of joint performance, the silver medal at the Salt Lake City Olympics was the biggest success. At the end of the 2005-2006 season, Kevin Martin decided to disband the team and recruit a new roster. Carter Rycroft did not stay idle for long and joined the team with Kevin Cui . As part of this team, Carter failed to break into the Vancouver Olympics .

Personal life
Owner of Prairie West Ventures and Majestic Rentals [3] .
Married, wife Sheila Rycroft ( born Sheila Rycroft ), they have three children [4] .
In 2014, when Rycroft's wife was pregnant, he said that he wanted to take a break from curling for a while [5] . However, after his team won the 2014 Canadian Championship , he abandoned these plans and continues to play.
