San Juan de los Mo'rros ( Spanish: San Juan de los Morros ) is a city in the central part of Venezuela , the capital of the state of Guarico .

San Juan de los Morros is the fourth largest city in Venezuela, but the population density is much lower. According to the census conducted in 2001, the population of the city was 103,706 people.
History
The city was discovered in 1594 by the Spanish colonialists.
During the war for the independence of Venezuela, the city sent thousands of volunteers.
The city of Guarico became the capital of the state in 1934.
Attractions
Among the main attractions of the city are the 20-meter statue of St. John the Baptist (San Juan Bautista, 1933-1935), the Los Morros de San Juan massif, Plaza Bolívar, a historic site and a monument known as "La Puerta" on the battlefield of February 3, 1814 in the war for the independence of Venezuela.
