Vadim Yuryevich Khrapachev ( Ukrainian: Vadim Yuryovich Khrapachov ; September 24, 1947 , Kiev - September 24, 2017 , Kiev ) - Soviet and Ukrainian composer , film composer . Honored Artist of Ukraine (2008) [1] [2] .

Biography

Born September 24, 1947 in Kiev . In 1972 he graduated from the Department of Musicology of the Kiev State Conservatory (class of N. Gerasimova-Persian) with a degree in musicology, in 1983 - from the Odessa State Conservatory in composition (teacher I. Osseyev). He taught at the Department of History and Theory of Music of the Kiev Pedagogical Institute . Author of electronic, chamber and symphonic works.

He started working in the cinema in 1973. The first film is the television series “The Old Fortress ”.

He wrote music for 49 feature films, 19 animated films and 13 documentaries. Films with his participation are winners of numerous international film festivals.
He is the author of the article “Problems of Sound-Visual Synthesis” (1988, Moscow, “Questions of Philosophy, No. 2”).

Death

The last years of his life had problems with the lungs, practically did not work. He died on the day of his 70th birthday on September 24, 2017.
