Name Origin

It has been known since 1924 as the Pykhov-Church dead end (from 1948 - travel). The first part of the name goes back to the name of the landowners: in 1870, Yaroslavl immigrants Nikolai and Vasily Pykhov bought a lot of land from the coachmen of the Tverskaya Sloboda and sold it in separate plots. For example, the current Corner Lane in the same area was called Pykhov. The Church component is probably due to the fact that on the corner of the driveway and Dolgorukovskaya street is the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker .

Description

Pykhov-Tserkovny passage connects Fadeev and Dolgorukovskaya streets, starts from Fadeev street, passes through an arc to the north-east, then to the east. Goes out onto Dolgorukovskaya street near the building of the former Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, in which the Soyuzmultfilm film studio was located . On February 7, 2018, the premises of the former St. Nicholas Church were transferred to the Russian Property Agency of the Russian Orthodox Church for free use.
