Einheitslok ( German: Einheitslokomotive , Einheitslok - Standardized Locomotive ) is the common name for German steam locomotives built after 1925 at the direction of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Directorate, as well as electric locomotives after 1952 for Deutsche Bundesbahn . Such locomotives were built, by various factories located in different parts of Germany, as a rule, in large lots. Examples of such locomotives are BR 01 and BR 41 steam locomotives, BR 110 (E 10) and BR 140 (E 40) electric locomotives.
