Maheśa Paṇḍita IAST is a Hare Krishna saint who lived in Bengal in the 16th century . He was one of the closest associates of Nityananda [1] . Belongs to the group of twelve Hare Krishna saints dvadasa-gopal [2] . According to the Gaudiya-Vaishnava theology of Mahesh Pandita in the eternal pastimes of Krsna serves Krsna and Balarama as the shepherd to Mahabaha [1] . In the Caitanya-caritamrta it is described that Mahesa Pandita “enjoyed Krsna-prema , dancing like crazy to the sounds of a huge drum” [1] . Mahesha was especially dear to Nityananda, with whom he actively traveled and preached Gaudiya Vaishnavism [1] . Mahesha Pandita established the deities of Caitanya and Nityananda, Radha-Madana-mohana, Radha-Govinda and Gopinatha [1] . In the region of 64 samadhi in Vrindavan there is puspa-samadhi of Maheshi Pandita [1] .
