A Song for Me is the third studio album of the British rock band Family , recorded at London 's Olympic studio and released by the record company Reprise on January 23, 1970 [1] . On February 7, the album climbed to # 4 on the UK Albums Chart , marking the band's highest charting achievement. [2]

The disc was recorded after Jim King and with multi-instrumentalist John "Paulie" Palmer. The participation of the latter predetermined changes in the sound of the group: A Song For Me, in comparison with the two previous works of the group, was closer to traditional hard rock and easier, more understandable in the lyrics [1] .
