Mitsubishi ASX

The prototype of the Mitsubishi ASX was the Concept-cX, presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 ^[3] .

The car was introduced with a 1.8-liter environmentally friendly turbocharged diesel engine, which power is 136 hp. (100 kW) at 4,000 rpm, and the maximum torque is 28.5 kg-m (280 Nm) at 2,000 rpm. The Concept-cX was also equipped with the new Twin Clutch SST dual-clutch sports transmission. The aerodynamic front panel emphasized the smooth lines of the body. In the interior of the car was used branded environmentally friendly plastic, the center console of the car and the transmission control lever are made in an unconventional style, an information touch display provided complete information about the car.

As part of the Geneva Motor Show , the Mitsubishi Motors booth hosted the European premiere of a new compact crossover called ASX ^[4] , which stands for A ctive S port X -over (crossover for active driving). The design of the front of the car uses a proprietary Jet Fighter grille. The concept of this design is borrowed from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries , which produces the F-2 fighter jet. Mitsubishi ASX is developed on the Project Global platform, as are the Lancer X and Outlander XL cars. Especially for ASX, the exclusive color “kawasemi” was developed - this is the Japanese name for kingfisher , a turquoise blue bird.

The interior of the Mitsubishi ASX is distinguished by good visibility, soft upholstery along the contour of the central panel, silver elements on both sides of the audio system and along the door panels. The cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people. Trunk volume 419 liters. The basic information is displayed on the liquid crystal display of the on-board computer located between the "wells" of the speedometer and tachometer . New to Mitsubishi Motors (but not to other brands) are the options for planting a car with a button, as well as the ability to adjust the steering wheel according to departure. In the maximum configuration, the new compact crossover is equipped with a panoramic roof with LED lights, leather seats, as well as leather trim parts of the dashboard and door cards.

In Russia, the Mitsubishi ASX comes with three types of gasoline engines: 1.6 L (117 HP), 1.8 L (140 HP) and 2.0 L (150 HP). Assembly for Russia was carried out in the United States, at a plant in Illinois. In 2015, the Illinois plant closed. This model also has 1.6 liter diesel engines (114 hp) and 2.2 liter (150 hp), but they are not supplied to Russia.

4A92

4A92 is the engine of the 4A9 all-aluminum four-cylinder petrol engine series, introduced for the first time in 2004 by a Mitsubishi Colt and developed by Daimler , MDC Power. At that time, the companies were in close cooperation and produced many joint developments. The engine contains four valves per cylinder, two camshafts in the cylinder head ( DOHC ), as well as a variable valve timing system with electronic control MIVEC (intake only). The car is characterized by low fuel consumption and sufficient power for comfortable crossover control.

4B10, 4B11

4B10 and 4B11 are engines of a series of all-aluminum four-cylinder gasoline engines 4B1, built on the basis of the GEMA platform (Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance). This platform was developed jointly by Chrysler , Mitsubishi Motors and Hyundai Motor . The engines contain four valves per cylinder, two camshafts in the cylinder head (DOHC), as well as a variable valve timing system with electronic control MIVEC (intake and exhaust).

4N13

4N13 - the engine of the series of all-aluminum four-cylinder diesel engines 4N1. The family has the second name Clean Diesel , which emphasizes the low content of toxic substances in the engine exhaust and meets the stringent Euro-5 standards. The engine contains 4 valves per cylinder, two camshafts in the cylinder head (DOHC), as well as a variable valve timing system with electronic control MIVEC (intake and exhaust), is equipped with a common rail injection system and a variable geometry turbine. Due to the high requirements for fuel quality, complete sets with this engine are not delivered to Russia and Ukraine.

Engine Specifications

In 2014, the Jatco CVT 8 upgraded variators with an expanded power range began to be installed on the car, which was achieved by changing the angles of the grooves of the variator pulleys and changing the size of the shafts ^[5] .

Since 2014, the multimedia system MMSC W13 is installed in the car, and since 2015 MMSC W15. Unlike previous models, these systems use HERE Maps navigation maps. C 2016 map service purchased by three manufacturers of cars BMW, Audi and Daimler (Mercedes).
