In the 1930s She lived in Estonia, studied at the Tallinn Higher Art School. She was familiar with the writer Leonid Zurov and became the prototype of the heroine of his story "Ivan da Marya" [1] . During the Great Patriotic War, she lived in Ulyanovsk , where she worked as an artist in various genres - landscape (oil and watercolor), portrait, still life. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. She took part in local art exhibitions (Kiev).
In 1949 she met the artist Victor Grigoryev , and since then their joint family and creative life began. Together, the Grigorievs illustrated books about the adventures of Pinocchio, Dunno, Chipollino, Periwinkle for the Kiev publishing house Veselka (and others) and the magazine Periwinkle . Kira Borisovna also successfully embodied her experience in the depiction of flowers in the design of the children's book “Kvity-kvitonki”. Books with illustrations of the Grigoryev spouses were published in thousands of copies. Kira Grigoryeva was also the author of greeting cards.
After the death of the Grigoryevs, more than 1000 of their joint works were transferred to the local history museum of the city of Boyarka.
