Career

In the World Cup, Vitto made his debut in 1996 , in November 2002 he won his first victory at the World Cup stage. In total, today he has 8 victories at the stages of the World Cup, 7 in distance races and one in the relay. Vitto's best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 2nd place in the 2004-05 season.

He participated in the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, where he showed the following results: 10 km classics - 24th place, pursuit 25 km - 19th place, relay race - 13th place, 50 km skate - 21st place.

At the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, he took part in three races: mass start 30 km - 11th place, duathlon 10 + 10 km - 13th place, relay race - 8th place.

At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he also participated in four races: a 15 + 15 km duathlon - 6th place, 15 km classics - 14th place, relay race - 4th place, mass start 50 km - 9th place.

At the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, he showed the following results: 15 km freewheeling - 5th place, duathlon 15 + 15 km - 15th place, team sprint - 7th place, relay race 4th place, mass start 50 km - 13th place.

During his career, he participated in seven world championships , is the 2005 world champion in duathlon. He also won the world championship in skiing.

He took part in biathlon and cross-country skiing competitions as part of the 2010 Winter World Military Sports Games , where he won the “bronze” in the patrol race (he was the “leader” of the team — the non-shooting runner), and also excelled in the individual and team classification of “clean” 15 km freestyle.

Uses skis and boots manufactured by Rossignol .

After the end of the season, 2010/2011 completed his career by switching to coaching. He is currently one of the coaches of the French youth ski team. [one]

Personal life

Single, has two children (daughters Luna and Anya). In addition to French, she speaks English. He is a serviceman of the French army.
