Biography

After the death of Rudolph II in 1232, the tribal possessions of the Hapsburgs were divided between his children: Albrecht IV and Rudolf III. Albrecht inherited the western part of Switzerland , and Rudolf acquired the land in the eastern part, including subsequently the eastern part of Aargau, Thurgau , Klettgau , Kyburg and a number of flax in Burgundy . Therefore, from 1232, Rudolf III also became the graph of Klettgau and the landgraf Zundgau [2] .
