Description
“The flag of the municipality“ Kopeisk city ”is a rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, which reproduces the composition of the city's coat of arms, shifted to the pole: a black pick, threaded into a yellow laurel wreath (with clockwise foliage). The ratio of vertical red, white and red stripes is 1/5, 1/5, 3/5 ".
Symbolization Justification
The flag is uniform and harmonious in its content: all the flag figures symbolize the city of Kopeisk and its inhabitants as workers, whose great contribution to the economic, cultural and spiritual development of their hometown and Chelyabinsk region is of no small importance.
Modern Kopeisk (formerly called Chelyabkopi), one of the first centers of coal mining in the Chelyabinsk coal basin, originated from a group of workers' settlements on the site of the Chelyabinsk coal mines, where in 1907 coal mining began to be developed near the village of Tugaykul .
The main figure of the flag is the pick-up - the oldest heraldic symbol of mining and stone- grinding business. Obuslok allegorically shows the mining and mining industries of the city, which gave economic development to the village and united the destinies of many generations of Kopeyk - thanks to their selfless labor, Kopeisk became a powerful energy base of the country.
The black color of the pickax allegorically shows the main wealth of the depths of the Kopeisk land - coal, with the mining of which the honorable work of the miners is associated.
Black color in heraldry symbolizes prudence, wisdom, modesty, honesty and eternity of being.
The wreath in the form of a circle - a symbol of eternity, allegorically shows the continuous movement of life. The leaves of the wreath, all turned in one direction, allegorically show the modern mechanism of continuous coal mining - the rotor of a multi-bucket excavator ; at the same time a circle is an allegorical image of a moving wheel, a sign of the dynamization of life, a symbol of the production of mining machines, tunneling machines (engineering).
At the same time, the golden laurel wreath is a symbol of fame, honor and reward for success, it allegorically combines the history of the city, inseparable from the events in the country and its inhabitants, their high consciousness, patriotism and organization, discipline and dedication.
Yellow color ( gold ) in heraldry symbolizes wealth, justice, respect, generosity, sublimity of thoughts, nobility, dignity.
A white stripe between two red allegorically shows a coal tunnel.
The colors of the flag — red, white, red — are at the same time the colors of the ribbon of the Order of the Red Banner : this high award, decree of the Presidium of the CEC of the USSR Union of January 2, 1925, was awarded to Chelyabinsk coal mines for their combat and labor feats.
The red color, the color of fire, energy, impulse, is in tune with the work of machine builders, which complements the content of the flag of the city as an industrialized city.
Red color in heraldry symbolizes work, life-affirming force, courage, celebration, beauty.
The white color ( silver ) in heraldry is a symbol of perfection, nobility, purity, faith, peace and mutual cooperation.
