Alidides [1] [2] ( lat. Alydidae) - a family of bugs from the suborder bugs . The smell emitted by many of these bugs is much worse than the smell of shield bugs . [3]

Distribution

The family has more than 250 species from approximately 45 genera. Found in temperate and hot climates, most species are inhabitants of the tropics and subtropics . In Europe, a little more than 10 species are found:

Description

Bedbugs 10-18 mm long. Outwardly similar to representatives of the family of local painters ( Coreidae ), but have a wider head and a long narrow body [3] .

Ecology

Representatives of the herbivorous family. Found in shrubs and grasses along roadsides and in wooded areas. [3]
