Biography

From 1975 to 1979 he studied at the Leningrad Higher Artillery Command School

After graduating from college until 1980, he served as platoon commander in the Odessa Military District .

1980-1982 served in the limited contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan as platoon commander and then company commander.

1982-1986 - served in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany .

1986-1988 - commander of a mortar battery in the Leningrad Military District .

1988—1989 - head of the department at the military commissariat of the Nookat district of the Osh region of the Kyrgyz SSR.

1989-1994 - head of the department in the military commissariat of the Alamedin district of the Kyrgyz SSR.

1994-1999 - Head of Department at the Main Organizational and Mobilization Department of the Ministry of Defense.

In the summer and autumn of 1999, Colonel Yugay Boris was directly involved in the liquidation of the militants of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan , who infiltrated the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan.

1999-2000 - Deputy Head of the Security Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 2001, he graduated from the higher academic courses of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation “Military Security of the State”.

2000-2002 - Head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Department of the Ministry of Defense - Deputy Head of the Main Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Since October 2002 - Deputy Minister of Defense.

March 14, 2007 - June 24, 2008 - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Minister of Defense. At the same time, from October 6, 2007 - Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff [1] .

In October 2008, he was transferred to the reserve of his own free will.

He died suddenly on March 12, 2010 [2] .

During the service he was awarded orders and medals of the USSR and the Kyrgyz Republic among which [3] :

  • Order "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR", II degree;
  • Order "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" III degree;
