Biography

John Favreau (née Jonathan Favreau) was born in Flushing, Queens, New York , the son of Madeleine, a primary school teacher who died of leukemia in 1979 , and Charles Favreau, a teacher of special education. [2] John's mother was Jewish, and his father an Italian Catholic with distant French-Canadian roots [3] [4] [5] . John Favreau graduated from Bronx High School of Sciences in 1984 and entered City University of New York , but soon left in 1987 [6] . He worked for Bear Stearns on Wall Street for a while before returning to college for a semester in early 1988 . Then he left college for the second time.
