Biography
Early left without parents, brought up in orphanages.
He graduated from high school in Suzdal, after which he studied at the film school in Zagorsk . Then he worked as a projectionist and guide in Suzdal.
In the early 1980s carried away by the bell ringing. He studied this art from another famous ringer - Valery Lokhansky from Arkhangelsk .
Since 1984 , after the revival of the tradition of bell ringing at the Savior Euthymius Monastery in Suzdal, he was a ringer there.
Starred in the feature film " Youth of Peter " [1] .
He is the hero of a number of documentaries, in particular, the documentary “Ringer (Yuri Yuriev)” from the “Lifestyle” series, shown on the Spas TV channel, is dedicated to Yu. Yu. Yuriev [2] .
The poetic works of various authors [3] [4] are devoted to Yu. Yu. Yuriev, the most famous of which is the poem "The Tale of the Suzdal Ringer" by M. L. Matusovsky .
