Philipp Schoch , born October 12, 1979 , Winterthur , Zurich canton, is a Swiss snowboarder , the first ever two-time Olympic champion in snowboarding [1] . Two-time world vice-champion 2007. Specializes in parallel slalom and parallel giant slalom. The standard-bearer of the Swiss team at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

The younger brother of another Swiss snowboarder Simon Schoch , world champion in 2007 and vice-champion of the 2006 Olympic Games. Interestingly, in the finals of the parallel giant slalom of the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Philip overtook Simon, and a year later at the World Championships in Arosa in the finals of parallel slalom, Simon beat Philip. Philip Shoh won his first awards at the World Championships after he became a two-time Olympic champion.
He made his debut in the World Cup in December 2000 . During his career he won 15 stages of the World Cup. In the 2004/05 season, he won the parallel slalom, and in the 2005/06 season he took the second place in the overall World Cup, losing only to his brother Simon.
Philip Schoch was forced to almost completely miss the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons due to a back injury. He returned to the World Cup only in December 2009 and did not have time to select the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver .
