Content
History
In 1574 , at the initiative of the City Council, a higher educational institution was opened in Lucerne. In 1600, there was a division into a gymnasium (higher secondary school) and a lyceum (university level), where theology was comprehensively studied.
In 1993, the second faculty of humanities was founded at the Lyceum Lyceum. In 2001, the Faculty of Law was opened. Then, according to the University Education Act of 2000, expansion was carried out, and the Lucerne Lyceum (university college) was reorganized into a university with three faculties

The University of Lucerne has the following faculties and departments [2] :
- Faculty of Theology , including departments:
- Public ethics;
- Jewish Christian studies;
- Liturgy;
- Catechism;
- Theology;
- Faculty of Humanities (opened in 1993 ), including departments:
- Philosophy;
- Story;
- Sociology;
- Religion;
- Culture and the media;
- Science and culture;
- Faculty of Law (opened in 2001 ), including branches:
- International and European private law;
- Commercial and commercial law.
Features
The training system at the University of Lucerne complies with the pan-European standard (Bologna model), and takes place in three stages:
- After the 6th semester, a bachelor's degree is awarded;
- After the next 3-4 semesters - a master's degree;
- With appropriate qualifications, students can study for doctoral studies.
