Engeløy [1] , Engelöen [2] ( Norwegian Engeløya ) is an island in Steigen , the county of Nordland , Norway . The area of the island is 69 km². [3] The name of the island is translated from Norwegian as "Angel Island". The highest point of the island is Mount Trujornet, 649 m high. The island is connected to the mainland by road No. 835 (fylkesvei 835), which runs along the Engeløy bridges .
