History
Tenaris was founded in Milan, Italy in 2001 . The headquarters is in Luxembourg . Tenaris is a leading regional supplier of welded steel pipes for gas pipelines in South America . The company's production facilities are located in Argentina , Brazil , Canada , China , Colombia , Italy , Japan , Mexico , Romania , USA and Venezuela with a customer service network in more than 20 countries of the world. Tenaris annual productivity is 3.3 million tons of seamless, and 2.8 million tons of welded pipe products, the annual total revenue exceeds 12.1 billion US dollars ( 2008 ). The total number of staff at the end of 2010 is 25420 people.
Recently, Tenaris acquired Hydril and later separated the high-end thread business segment from the pressure control segment. The pressure control segment was sold to General Electric Oil and Gas in April 2008 .
