Sports career
Ashley McIvor has been participating in international competitions since 2003 . In the World Cup competitions she made her debut in October 2004 and at the first stage she took second place. She won the first and only victory at the stages of the World Cup in January 2010, 9 times she took a place on the podium. The best result in the World Cup standings in the ski cross discipline is 5th place (2008/2009 season), the best result in the overall standings is 16th place in the same season.
Ashley took part in X-Games four times, the best result was a silver medal in 2010.
In 2009, Ashley Makayvor became the winner of the World Championships in Japanese Inavashiro, and after qualification she took only 28th place.
At the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, she won a gold medal on her Cypress Mountain home track and became the first Olympic champion in the history of the sport.
Personal life
Ashley McIvor is considered one of Canada’s most popular female athletes, “the face of women's freestyle.” She often starred in advertising sportswear and equipment, in photo shoots of famous photographers, and participated in television shows.
Ashley studied at the University of British Columbia with a degree in business and marketing.
