Strychnine.213 (Rus. Strychnin 213.) is the sixth full-length studio album of the Belgian death / grind band Aborted , released in 2008 . At Strychnine.213, the group continued experimenting with melodicity, but there was also a greater departure for the deathcore , which almost immediately became noticeable, although the group still originally combined elements of the selected styles. The main part of the music, as on the previous release, was written by Sebastian Tuvi , and the texts, as always the frontman Svencho , wrote.

Strychnine.213 was recorded and mixed in a new place, under the direction of Eric Rachel. The album was produced by Gail Libling, and the visual design was done by Colin Marx (Rain Song).
The components of the album changed with the arrival of new members, two of whom appeared on this release, they were drummer Dan Wilding, whose playing style Sven really liked, and new left-handed bassist Sven Janssens, while current bassist Peter Goemaer switched to guitar, replacing departed Matti Dupont. There were even progressive elements, along with longer solos in some songs, the main vocal parts, as before, were for Sven, this time the lead guitarist Sebastian was responsible for backing vocals. Samples also took place on this album, namely on the song “A Murmur in Decrepit Wits”, which contained fragments from an interview with Charles Manson . Nevertheless, despite the innovations, the album was not accepted as well as its predecessors, partly due to a slightly damp sound and, in the opinion of some, not properly recorded vocals, but due to good promotion, the album sold well and was eventually accepted by most dissatisfied initially.
This album is the second on Century Media and has been released in several versions, like its predecessors. The only difference is the design and content of the bonus merchandise. So the pre-ordered version had a poster, a T-shirt and a sticker in it, and the disk came in a special box and all this was packed in a bag for evidence. Just a special version contained a bonus - a cover of Pantera 's song “Slaughtered”, performed more in the metalcore / deathcore genre than brutal death metal . The regular version consisted of ten songs with a total duration of just over 37 minutes.
