Eight holidays are celebrated at the state level in Turkey , they were established by Act No. 2429 of March 19, 1981 . In addition, Muslim dates and numerous folk celebrations are widely celebrated.

Religious holidays
In addition to Kurban Bairam and Ramadan, other Muslim holidays are also celebrated in Turkey. Folk Holidays
Practically in every Turkish settlement their entertainment events are held. In addition, religious minorities of Turkey have their own holidays. The most significant national celebrations include Nowruz (Spring Festival), the Mevlana Festival in Konya (in memory of the great philosopher and poet Rumi nicknamed Mevlyan the “master”), the Grape Festivals and the “Mesir Majun” in Manisa (an ancient vintage festival), the Carrot Festival and Gyuvecha Beypazary (competitions for the most delicious dish) and others.
