Parliamentary elections in Great Britain were held from July 7 to July 31, 1852 .
Split into protectionist and free-trade advocates, the Conservative Party of Great Britain won a small majority of places, but was unable to form a government under the leadership of its leader, protectionist Earl Derby, because of internal disputes. The Whigs of John Russell , who had previously formed a minority government , received a majority of votes, but were in opposition. Irish nationalists were made as part of the Whig.
Initially, the government was created from conservative protectionists under the leadership of Earl Derby, but already in December of the same year the Whigs and Pilits formed a coalition cabinet under the leadership of Pilith Earl Aberdeen , which fell apart during the Crimean War .
