In 312 BC e. during the Second Samnite War, Mark Valery was elected consul. During his consulate, he fought in Samnya, "finished off the remains of the enemy." [1] In 308 BC e. as a legate, he fought under the dictator Lucius Papirius Cursor . [2] In the same year, Mark Valery was elected praetor for the fourth time. [3]
In 307 BC e. Mark Valery became a censor . Together with his colleague, he was engaged in the construction of new roads at public expense. [four]
