Geography
The village is located on the right bank of the river Kugo-Eya , at the confluence of the river Yegorlychek into it, and opposite the confluence of the river Gaydamachka into it.

History
Before the revolution, the village was called Novo-Provalskoye (Novopovalskoye) and belonged to the Gulyai-Borisov volost of Cherkassy district . In 1922, it was renamed in honor of the active participant in the Civil War in the North Caucasus , D.P. Zhloby . In 1937 he was repressed, and the village got its current name - October [3] .
