Aly & Fila - Egyptian trance duet formed in 1999 by Ali (born April 26, 1981) ( born Aly Amr Fathallah , Russian; Ali Amr Fathallah ) and Fadi (born November 20, 1981) ( born Fadi Wassef Naguib , Russian. Fadi Wassif Najib ). The team gained fame thanks to remixes and songs in the style of uplifting trance .

In 2006, the duo launched their radio show on the Digitally Imported Internet radio station, called Future Sound of Egypt and is released every Monday from 23:00 to 00:00. Since June 2010, a radio show has been broadcasting in Russia on Radio Record on the night of Thursday to Friday at 02:00.

In 2018, he took 74th place in the list of the best DJs in the world according to DJ Magazine ^[1] .

History

Aly Amr Fathalah (Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (Fila) trance duet from sunny Egypt . They were both born in 1981 in Cairo . The guys have known each other since childhood, studied together at school, in a word - "all my life hand in hand." It is not surprising that both formed identical musical tastes.

In 1996, while in Germany, Fadi bought several CDs from Gatecrasher . Such music was not sold anywhere in Egypt and was practically unknown to a wide range of listeners. The guys were simply fascinated by the beauty and melody of trance music . Their idols of that time were Chicane , Paul van Dyk and Steve Helstrip ( The Thrillseekers ).

In 1999, they decided to put together their own small home studio. In the initial stages of his career, Fadi was more attracted to DJing, while Ali was more interested in playing the keyboard. Around 2001, they joined forces on both fronts. Ali and Fadi begin active performances with their DJ sets in their own country. The guys quickly became popular in their homeland, and all their further actions were aimed at international recognition.

The first significant step in this direction for them was the signing of a contract with the famous German label Euphonic Records in 2002. Their first release on this label was a real sensation in trance music. The track “Eye Of Horus”, along with a remix from Ronski Speed , received encouraging reviews from Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren , DJ Tiesto , and many other DJs. Soon the track was re-released on Fundamental Recordings in Holland . The track reached fourth place in the Dutch Dance Chart. Also, “Eye Of Horus” got into many mix compilations, including Gatecrasher Resident Transmission 02, Viva Club Rotation, Mexico Love Parade, Energy 03. The name of the track translates as Eye of Horus , because the guys are very proud of their culture and history their homeland, and they wanted to open Egypt to the world precisely from this side.

After ending their contract with Euphonic Records, Fadi meets Swiss DJ Andy Prinz, founder of the record company Offshore Music Entertainment. An offshore sub-label called Egyptian Edition was launched on this label, where Aly & Fila began to release their own music. The first release of the new label was Spirit of Ka, which by that time had already been on the track lists of many DJs. In addition to the original, the remix of the German Markus Schulz ( Markus Schulz ) was on the single.

The duo participated in the celebration of the anniversary, 300, 350, 400, 500 and 550 issues of the Armin van Buuren show A State of Trance . Every year, the popularity of the Egyptian duo is increasing, as evidenced by the results of DJ Mag Top 100 . In 2007, Aly & Fila took 111th place in the list of 250 best DJs in the world. In 2008, they were already in 31st place, and a year later, in 2009, they rose by 9 positions and ended up in 22nd place. And in 2010 they went up two more positions. As a result, the 20th place in the hundred of the best DJs on the planet. The duet has a great influence on the world of trance music, and every year it is increasingly improving its sound.

On February 19, 2010, the duet's own label Future Sound Of Egypt joined the famous Armada Music label . It is worth noting that Future Sound Of Egypt has become the 28th sub-label of Armada. In addition to the Egyptians, Sean Tyas , Neptune project , Vast Vision , Mark Andrez, and Ukrainian DJ Den Rize have already appeared on the label's releases. In 2010, Aly & Fila released their long-awaited debut album "Rising Sun" on Future Sound Of Egypt. ^[2] .

The guys are trying to promote trance at home, although it is worth noting that at the moment he is not as popular as house . The most widespread trance was in cities such as Cairo , Alexandria , Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada .

Despite all their achievements, they are ordinary Egyptian guys. They like to play on the Playstation , relax in the company of friends and watch videos ^[3] .

For the past 4 years, the brand Aly & Fila has been representing only Fadi on the stage, since Ali had serious ear problems that influenced his DJing. But he is quite capable of creating music with Fila. ^[4] .
