Board

Conrad I, the son of King Rudolph II and Bertha of Swabia , became king of Burgundy in 937 after the death of his father. His rule was peaceful, except for a short period of time when Arabs and Hungarians invaded Burgundy at the same time. Conrad skillfully played on their contradictions and pitted. Then he defeated them in battle.

When Otto I the Great conquered Italy and married the sister of Conrad Adelheide (951), he was able to secure Provence, captured even by Rudolph II .
