Biography
Pupil of Odessa Sports School "Chernomorets" . In big football he played in the position of a defender for the double of “ Chernomorets ”, managed to play one match for the first team of “sailors” in the Cup of Ukraine.
In 1995, he went into futsal , accepting the offer of Odessa Lokomotiv, while simultaneously trying to prove himself in big football, speaking in amateur teams of Odessa region (in 1992 and 1995 - in Blago Blagoevo, in 1997 - in Ovidiopol Dniester "). As part of the railway, he became the three-time champion of Ukraine and twice won the Cup of the country. Going to Kiev Intercas , he won the national championship and the Cup twice.
In Donetsk Shakhtar , Melnikov won the Ukrainian championship three times and the Cup once. The 2008-2009 season was the last in his playing career, and the last professional club of George was Lugansk “Meadow. T.K. ”
As part of the Ukrainian futsal team, Melnikov twice became the silver medalist of the European championship in futsal - in 2001 and 2003, the bronze medalist of the world championship (in 1996) and the world champion among students in 1998.
