Longitarsus ochroleucus (lat.) Is a species of leaf beetles from the subfamily of bryarows . Distributed in Europe , North Africa , Asia Minor and the Caucasus [2] .

Description

The imago is 2.2-2.6 mm long [3] . The body is yellowish white. The head is red-yellow. Mouth and apical half of antennae blackish. The last segment of the paws is darker than the rest. This species is characterized by the following features [3] :

  • hind femur yellow with sharp black top;
  • elytra with strong humeral tubercles; on the dorsal side are slightly flattened, in very shallow and dense points.

Ecology

They live in dry, open, sunlit places, as well as localities that people use, such as quarries and trails [4] . They feed on plants from the aster family, including chamomile , yarrow , tansy , and wormwood [2] .
