The Dmitrovsky settlement of Selitrovskoye is a municipal entity within the Selizharovskiy district of the Tver region .

Originally formed in 2005, it included the territory of the Dmitrovsky rural district, there were 56 settlements on the territory of the settlement. On March 21, 2013, a law was adopted in the Tver Region [1] on the transformation by uniting the Maksikovsky rural settlement and the Dmitrov rural settlement and the creation of the newly formed municipal entity Dmitrovsky rural settlement of Selizharovsky district of the Tver region. On the territory of the newly formed settlement there are 81 settlements. The center of the settlement is the village of Dmitrovo .

Geographical information

  • Total area: 818.5 km²
  • Location: Southwest part of Selizharovsky district
    • Bordered by:
      • in the north - with Shuvaevsky joint venture and Selischensky joint venture
      • in the northeast - with the village Selizharovo
      • in the east - with Zakharov JV and Okovetsky JV
      • in the southeast - with the Oleninsky area , Kholmetsky joint venture
      • in the south - with Nelidovsky district , Vysokinskoye SP
      • in the southwest - with Andreapolsky district , Lugovskoe SP
      • in the west - with Penovskiy District , Okhvatskoe JV .

In the north, the border runs along a small section along the Volga River , in the east of the settlement, the Pesochnya River, in the south, the Tudovka River .

According to the 2010 census, there were 980 people (692 in Dmitrovsky and 288 in Maksimkovskoye rural settlement).

History

In 11-12 centuries, the territory of the settlement belonged to the Smolensk land. In the 12th and 13th centuries it was part of the specific Toropets principality, in the 14th and 15th centuries it was located on the border between the Rzhev lands and the possessions of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . At 16-17, it belonged to the Rzhevsky district of the Russian state . With the formation of the Tver province in 1796, the territory of the settlement entered Ostashkov district . After the liquidation of the provinces in 1929, the territory of the settlement included: [2]

  • in the years 1929-1935 in the Western region , Selizharovsky district,
  • in 1935-1936 Kalinin region , Selizharovsky district, (the southern village councils - Rantsevsky, Pervomaysky and Dunovsky were included in the Penovsky district),
  • in 1936-1944 Kalinin region, Kirovsky (renamed Selizharovsky) and Penovsky districts,
  • in 1944-1957 in the Kalinin region, the Kirov district and in the Velikie Luki region , Penovsky district,
  • in 1957-1963 in the Kalinin region, Kirovsky and Penovsky districts,
  • in 1963-1965 in the Kalinin region, Ostashkov district,
  • in 1965-1990 in the Kalinin region, Selizharovskiy district,
  • since 1990 in the Tver region , Selizharovskiy district .

In the middle of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, the villages of the settlement belonged to Sukhoshinskaya, Dmitrovskaya, Grylevskaya and Samushkinsky volosts of the Ostashkov district .

In the 1940s and 1950s, Sukhoshinsky, Dmitrovsky, Zeleninsky (Vyzhlyatnikovsky) village councils of the Selizharovsky district, Rantsevsky, Komarovsky (Pervomaysky) and Dunovsky village councils of the Penovsky district existed on the territory of the settlement.

Famous People

  In the now defunct village of Davydkovo, Hero of the Soviet Union Timofey Ilich Prokofiev was born.

  Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Nikitovich Gudanov was born in the village of Provalannaya .
