Longitarsus melanocephalus (lat.) - a species of leaf beetles ( Chrysomelidae ) from the subfamily of gnats ( Galerucinae ). Distributed from the western part of the Palearctic to the east to Mongolia . Adult beetles and their larvae feed on the leaves of plantain ( Plantago ) (a genus of plants of the plantain family ( Plantaginaceae )) [1] .
