Biography

He entered the history of Odessa “Chernomorets” as a club record holder by the number of goals scored (15) in the big leagues for the season in the USSR Championship (1983, the third result of the season in the country).

Tragically died in a car accident in the area of Belaya Tserkov along with the club driver Dmitry Lukyanenko. He was buried in Odessa at the Tairovsky cemetery.

Since 2005, on the initiative of the football club Chernomorets, the best scorer of the Odessa Championship has been awarded the Cup of Vladimir Fink's memory .

Volodymyr Fink is also dedicated to the cup won by Aleksandr Kosyrin, the Chernomorets attacker, for winning the scorer in the Ukraine-2004/05 championship . Vladimir Alexandrovich served as a kind of talisman for the players of Chernomorets. During the calendar matches of Odessa citizens, Fink in the second half invariably took up a position behind the opponents' goal, according to Vladimir Alexandrovich’s own admission: “To good luck!”.

On September 16, 2018, at the alley of football glory of FC Chernomorets (Odessa) a new name plate was opened, dedicated to Vladimir Fink [1] .
