Yellow color symbolizes the sun over Grenada and the friendliness of its citizens, green - agriculture, red - harmony, unity and courage. Seven stars represent the seven administrative units of Grenada. The flag contains nutmeg , the cultivation of which is the basis of the economy of Grenada. In addition, Grenada itself is one of the world's leading manufacturers of nutmeg.
